Homemade Ranch Seasoning
So easy to make! So many ways to use it!
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp dried parsley
- 2 tsp dried dill
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried chives
- pinch of salt
I used Galley Salt Seasonings instead of just salt. My friend and sorority sister Barb Edgerle created this awesome salt seasoning. You can get it here and like their Facebook page here. I use it all the time in place of just salt. (Modify pepper amount used in recipes.)
To Make the Ranch Seasoning:
Mix all spices together to make seasoning. Use this powder anyway you use the packets. Bake your chicken, fish or shrimp seasoned with it. You can even put on popcorn for a different healthier than salt/butter version. Store in airtight container for 1-2 months (I bet you won’t have it that long!).
Make into dip or dressing
To use as a dip or dressing, mix 1 tsbp with 1/2-3/4 cup sour cream or plain greek yogurt and 1/4 cup (from pastured raised cows) milk. Serve as a salad dressing, dip or make a festive individual snack like this one below.
