Easiest Kale Chip Recipe
The Easiest Way to Make Kale Chips
A few years ago, kale chips might have seemed a bit out of there, but now they are a favorite of many. I dare to say, once you try them (and your kids) they’ll be your new go-to snack. Only 3 ingredients are needed so it makes them easy to make and your family can help too. Kale is one the super-foods we want to be eating. Replace those potato chips or crackers next time you’re craving a munchie – you’ll be hooked. (Makes a great study food for those highschoolers too!)
Easy Kale Chips
Prep Time: 5 min
Total Time: 20 min
Serves 4-6 (or in the case of my 15 yr-old, serves 1 – her 🙂 )
Ingredients
- 1 bunch kale (6-8oz), washed, thick ribs removed, torn into bite-sized pieces
- 1-2 tsp EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
Preheat the oven to 350º. Combine the kale, EVOO and salt in a mixing bowl – massage the oil and salt into the kale with your hands to coat evenly but lightly. Place the kale in a single layer on a baking sheet (you may need two like I did) and bake for 15-18 minutes, until crispy – don’t overcook. Best served warm but very tasty at room temperature too.
Add Some fresh Flavor:
- Try with fresh grated parmesan sprinkled on top before serving.
- Add a little fresh lemon juice with EVOO
- Sprinkle a little cayenne and give it a kick.
Enjoy!
Be sure not to burn…. it happens fast. 🙂
My 15 yr old loves her kale chips.
