Crispy Basil
Crispy Basil is a delicious add on to just about anything. I actually loved eating them just by them selves.
Here’s all you need:
Basil leaves
Olive Oil
Sea Salt
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Wash and dry your basil leaves. Make sure they’re really dry so they crisp instead of wilt in the oven. Let them lay on a paper towel until dry.
- In a bowl, gently toss basil leaves with olive oil and sea salt. Be sure to cover both side.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Arrange the basil leaves on the sheet.
- Roast on 350 for 5-10 minutes or until a dark green & crispy. Be careful, they can burn fast.
Gently remove from pan. They are very fragile and can break up easily.
Eat by themselves, top a soup or chili with them or top a salad. You won’t be able to get enough of these.
