I ‘Heart’ Blueberries!

Blueberries are a great go-to superfruit for brain function and memory. Studies link high flavonoid levels in blueberries with a better memory, and regular consumption of them may help keep your brain functioning well as you age. One study found that women with the highest intake of berries appeared to have a delay in cognitive aging by a whopping 2.5 years (wouldn’t that be awesome).

Not only are they good for the brain, blueberries are also rich in manganese, good for metabolism, which can help keep you slim and full of energy.

So eat away!

Blueberry Blast Breakfast (or anytime) Smoothie

  • 10 ounces coconut water or coconut milk
  • 1/2 – 1 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • handful organic baby spinach
  • 1-2 scoops plant based protien & fiber shake mix* (makes this a true meal and without, just not enough protein & fiber to be a meal)

Blend all together in a high speed blender until smooth. Add ice for desired consistency.
