Elon Musk recently asked federal workers a simple but revealing question: What are five things you did in your job last week? That got me thinking—what if we asked ourselves the same question about our wellness?
For both men and women, health isn’t just about weight or fitness—it’s about energy, confidence, longevity, and feeling good in our own skin. But let’s be honest—weeks fly by, and if we’re not intentional, wellness can easily fall to the bottom of the list.
So, let’s flip the script. What are five things you did last week to support your wellness? If you’re struggling to answer, don’t worry!
Here are some simple, high-impact wellness habits to start doing daily:
Did you start your day with a high-protein breakfast? Blood sugar balance is key for metabolism, mood, and energy levels. Try adding eggs, Greek yogurt, or a protein smoothie to your morning routine.
Did you move your body in a way that felt enjoyable? Walking, yoga, or strength training can reduce joint pain, boost metabolism, and improve heart health. Even 10 minutes of stretching counts!
Did you prioritize sleep? Deep, restorative sleep supports metabolism, brain function, and overall well-being. Turn off screens an hour before bed and create a calming bedtime ritual.
Did you slow down and actually enjoy your meals? Practicing mindful eating—like using my T.A.S.T.E. Method (Tune In, Assess, Savor, Thank, Exit)—can help you feel satisfied with less and improve digestion.
Did you take time for yourself? Whether it’s deep breathing, journaling, or a 5-minute mindfulness check-in, managing stress is crucial for hormone balance and longevity.
I challenge you to do at least one high-impact wellness habit daily. By the end of the week, you’ll have five (or more!) things to be proud of.
So tell me, what five things did you do for your wellness this week?
I believe wellness doesn't have to be complicated. I help simplify the science of nutrition and healthy living into practical, sustainable habits that nourish your body from the inside out—so you can feel stronger, more vibrant, and confident in every season of life.
